My French Fancies
If you are interested in skincare then you’ll know about the French pharmacy brands that offer great quality at really affordable prices. Some of the brands are available in the UK, but they can be more expensive and the range can be limited.
So, what’s a girl to do?, order it from France of course. I have ordered from this website a few times and I’m really impressed by their range and service. I thought it only fair to share this with the rest of you. The website is Cocoon Center and they carry a massive range of brands, Bioderma, Embryolisse, Avene, La Roche Posay and Vichy to name but a few of my favourites.
The prices can be displayed in sterling, the delivery charges depend on the weight of your parcel, but are very reasonable. My parcels have arrived in a about a week from ordering and I’ve had no problems so far!
I had three things I wanted to try that I had heard good things about:
Klorane Blonde Shampoo, this gets really good reviews for keeping your hair bright. I have been using it for a few weeks now and I really like the smell and how soft and shiny it leaves my hair. As for the brightening effect, I think it works. My husband asked me what I had done to make my hair lighter - if he noticed it must work! It’s just over £6.00 for 400ml on Cocoon Center and a 200ml bottle is £8.00 plus almost £4 shipping from within the UK.
Avene Cold Cream Extra Rich Cleansing Gel, I wanted something quick to refresh my face in the shower in the mornings. It was listed under cleansers but the packaging states it can be used on face or body. Personally I found that it made the skin around my nose sting a little, but I'll be using it up as a body wash. It smells lovely and doesn't leave skin feeling tight. I picked this up from Cocoon Center for £3.55, it’s on special offer on some uk based sites at the minute but it’s still £6.00 with £1.95 delivery.
Finally the Caudalie Gentle Cleansing Milk, I love Caudalie. I have loved everything I have tried, it's a premium looking range, fantastic quality and if you buy from France it’s very reasonable. I bought the 200ml size for just over £10, and the best I could find it for in the UK is £14.25 with free delivery.
So for the three things on my list I would have needed to visit three sites, make three orders and pay £34.15 in total. I ordered from one site, paid one delivery and spent £25.37. Vive la France!
