Kiehl's Nashi Blossom and Pink Grapefuit- new summer scent
Now that summer is finally here, I am in the mood for a fragrance switch up. Last summer I was in Kiehl's Belfast picking up some moisturiser and I spotted the fragrance display. I confess I had no idea that Kiehl’s did perfumes, but a quick sniff of the testers showed that they know a thing or two about fragrance.
For me there was an instant favourite - the Nashi Blossom and Pink Grapefruit. I had a spray or two and then I wasn't able to get it out of my head. I wished I had bought it there and then. Fortunately my birthday was just around the corner, so my husband bought me the perfume and matching body lotion. Since then it has been one of my favourites, and I have been looking forward to the warmer weather so I could wear it again. I think it is so light and easy to wear, it’s daytime appropriate and smells fresh and a little spicy all at once. I think it is feminine, but not too girly or frilly. A quick google reveals that Nashi Blossom refers to the Asian Pear, it’s blossom is a sign of spring and is common in gardens. The notes state that it is “accented by spicy ginger and rounded off with soothing notes of soy milk and white musk”. That’s a fair description I think, it does smell soothing and warm to me, but somehow fresh and light at the same time.
The perfume is really reasonable priced, available in 30ml for £25.50 or 100ml for £45.50. It’s unlikely, I think, that many people you know will have this one. That adds to the appeal to me, something a little more unusual always feels special. The matching body lotion is gorgeous and I love layering the too, admittedly I usually use something cheaper on my legs and save the special stuff for my upper half. The body lotion is £24 for 250ml and a shower gel is also available. This range of products would make a lovely gift of someone and well worth checking out at your nearest Kiehls store. You can also order online from Kiehl’s here.
